OMG!! I’ve done a lot of things in my life and creating this blog, my blog – Setting The Foundation, has to be one of my favorites thus far. I feel so grounded and at peace as I type this post. (Confirmation? Maybe?) Blogging has been on my heart to do for over 5 years. But back then, I was focused on becoming a licensed esthetician and opening my beauty studio.
Somewhere on my journey I conformed to what society said a woman should be in life. I took on the super woman trope, worked tirelessly, and lost myself in the hustle and bustle of day to day life. Which all worked until it didn’t. I BURNED OUT!
Since then though, I’ve regained my balance, closed my studio and devoted all of my time and energy to learn how to operate from a relaxed and healthy space, using this time to establish an unshakeable foundation within myself, reflect, and heal.
Self love is the best love and as cliché as it sounds, it’s true.
We don’t heal to stay the same. We heal to grow, to change, to be and do better for ourselves and those around us. All of that healing caused me to quiet the noise of the world around me, allowing me to fall deeper in love with every aspect of my life! If you ask me, the Divine speaks through all of us, whether we choose to listen or not is up to us. And I’m listening!
Thus Setting The Foundation was born. I’m excited to see the growth that comes with being a beginner. Setting The Foundation is a reflection of who I truly am at my core, EXTRA but Subtle! Here is where high achieving women can find inspiration and guidance to balance their drive with self-care, enhancing their beauty and well-being. It’s a space dedicated to helping you embrace your dreams while nurturing your inner and outer radiance.
I am a firm believer that everything happens how it should, when it should. Right now it’s time for me to pour into you through Setting The Foundation. I hope you enjoy this transformation as much as I do. Let’s have some fun!

Loved the first blog you posted. I also think a lot of women can definitely see themselves in similar situations of the overwork culture and trying to find that perfect balance. Can’t wait to see what you post next 😊
Thank you Deanna! I appreciate your feedback.
